Description

At Compu Dynamics, we don’t just build infrastructure—we create the backbone of the digital future. As North America’s premier technology infrastructure design-build partner, we design, construct, and maintain mission-critical data centers for some of the world’s most innovative companies. With roots in one of the fastest-growing data center markets in the world, our growth is as intentional as our impact.

Summary/Objective

Compu Dynamics is a national datacenter construction and systems integration company. We are growing fast across multiple offices, field sites, and a manufacturing plant. Our IT infrastructure is managed by an outside partner, and we are adding our first in-house IT team member to be the bridge between our people and that partner.

The IT Coordinator is the go-to person for IT at Compu Dynamics. This role owns our relationship with our managed service provider (MSP), handles hands-on support for employees, and keeps our devices, accounts, and software organized. The IT Coordinator works directly with the CFO and gains broad exposure to the business systems that run a growing construction company.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. MSP & Vendor Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with our MSP: open, prioritize, and follow up on tickets; escalate issues; and hold the MSP to agreed service levels.
  • Track software subscriptions and renewals, and flag cost savings.
  1. End-User Support
  • Provide first-line, in-person support for hardware, software, printers, phones, conference rooms, and network connectivity.
  • Coordinate user access and basic support for business applications such as NetSuite, Procore, and Concur.
  • Travel occasionally to other offices, job sites, or our plant for setups and support.
  1. Onboarding, Offboarding & Account Administration
  • Run employee onboarding and offboarding: accounts, licenses, laptops, phones, and access to business systems.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 day to day: users, groups, mailboxes, licenses, Teams, and SharePoint permissions.
  1. Asset & License Management
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of laptops, phones, peripherals, and software licenses, including purchasing, setup, and returns.
  1. Security, Compliance & Documentation
  • Support security and compliance work with the MSP: MFA, device updates, security awareness training, and evidence gathering for audits (e.g., SOC 2).
  • Write simple how-to guides and keep IT documentation current.

Success Factors and Company Values

  • Professionalism: Represents IT with a responsive, customer-first approach and explains technical issues clearly to non-technical employees.
  • Exceeding Expectations: Follows every ticket through to resolution, holds the MSP to agreed service levels, and looks for ways to improve and save costs.
  • Mutual Respect: Treats every support request as important, from the field to the executive team, and builds a strong working partnership with the MSP.
  • Integrity: Protects company data and access, keeps inventory and license records accurate, and handles sensitive information with discretion.
  • Safety: Follows all site safety rules and PPE requirements on job site and plant visits, and supports a secure IT environment through MFA, updates, and security training.
