IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (DATAMGT/INFOSEC)

Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information.

Ensures compatibility of operating systems in accordance with specific data systems and data applications requirements.

Recommends development and deployment of appropriate platforms (ex., minicomputer applications, mid-tier applications, and mainframe applications), methodologies, and strategies.

Evaluates and analyzes impact of proposed new systems and system change requests to existing operational systems.

Interacts and works closely with IT specialists in a team environment and integrates the work of others to ensure project completion.

As the technical authority on data management system development and administration, serves as the repository applications manager in the organization for a major automated information system (AIS).
