A GS-2210-11, IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC): Conducts audits of information systems compliance, to include network devices; servers; and end user devices, related to security standards, guides and application updates to enable and ensure accreditation of all systems IAW with all command, Army, and DOD security directives, policies and procedures. Ensures that all elements are in compliance with guidance concerning accreditation of automated information systems, risk management, control of computer viruses, and other similar issues. Reviews Account Validation System, approves new user accounts, and conducts ongoing audits to ensure all privileged and user accounts comply with DoD8140 and Army Standards respectively. Conducts investigation of security incidents, reports findings to leadership and remediates findings based on guidance from the cybersecurity service provider and IAW with all command, Army, and DOD security directives, policies and procedures to include: computer viruses and sanitation of information from organization. Reviews submissions to Technical Review Board, or other bodies proposing changes, to network or information systems and applications and by making recommendations to senior cybersecurity supervisor and the Change Control Board. Maintains an operational knowledge base of past, current and possible future threats to the security posture by attending courses, conferences, seminars, online research, and information sharing between other Cybersecurity/Information Assurance professionals. Must anticipate the effects of new emerging technology and develop policies to control it to prevent security violations. Makes recommendations regarding policies and/or procedures to prevent or react to security concerns. Other duties as assigned.(temporary, minor, or incidental tasks)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military Grades: E4 - E9, WO1 - CW3 Desired Military Assignments: Immaterial, 00F - Applicants need not be assigned to the position or possess the MOS to apply or be considered for selection. Selected applicant must be assigned to a compatible Military position and attain MOS within 1 year of appointment action. - May be required to successfully complete a trial period. - Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. - All soldiers, civilian employees, and contractor employees who drive Army-owned or leased vehicles must complete any training per the Army Traffic Training Program outlined in AR 385-10, when they start working for the Army. Must have a valid Washington state and military driver's license. Must be able to obtain a Government Travel Card (GTC) and be able to attend all schools deemed necessary by the supervisor. - Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. - Must maintain membership in the WA Army National Guard for continued employment. - Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. - This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
