IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC).

Leads analytical reviews to resolve issues and define Cyberspace Operations roles, developing new concepts and authoritative recommendations for complex inter-related missions.

Supports crisis action planning by leading projects pertaining to all phases, including mission analysis, course of action (COA) development, COA analysis, and plan development.

Develops concepts of operations and courses of action. Coordinates with technical and military analysts to consolidate findings into complete products for senior leadership.

Provides technical assessments of cyberspace operations. Identifies and tracks updates to ensure initiatives support objectives and address operational needs and identified shortfalls.

Plans for the integration of information security measures and oversees implementation of solutions. Reviews work products for correctness and adherence to design concepts and standards.
