IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (NETWORK/INFOSEC)
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the PROFESSIONAL Work Category at the SENIOR Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in DISA.
Serves as principal technical authority and lead specialist with responsibility to ensure effective, economical, and advanced technical management of customer networking requirements for assigned systems and applications
Provides expert technical guidance, interpretation, and implementation oversight of applicable information security policies, processes, and practices.
Ensures continued operational availability and integrity of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and data.
Defines and executes total breadth of network operations of an activity to ensure continuous availability and accessibility of the organization's LAN/WAN.
Develops and implements complex configuration management plans for complex LANs and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
