This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) HC/Mainframe LOB.

Promotes interoperability, integration, systems compatibility and connectivity.

Perform needs analyses and consult with customers and vendors to define requirements for new or improved business process solutions and emerging technologies.

Supports efforts to acquire, develop, deploy, and secure the systems and infrastructure for all branches with mainframe.

Expert in analysis, design, development, deployment, configuration, and evaluation of secure cloud architectures.

Provide authoritative technical advice and assistance to system administrators, cybersecurity engineers, and managers on existing and future service offerings and their sustainment.
