IT Cybersecurity Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/INFOSEC)

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA FIELD OFFICE, US TRANSCOM SUPPORT DIVISON.

Applies analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.

Provides technical support and guidance to staff in matters relating to information management (IT) issues that involve a wide range of IT management that typically extend and apply to an entire organization or major components of an organization.

Performs needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions; consults with customers to identify and specify requirements; develops overall functional and systems requirements and specifications.

Manages an area of specialized systems software technology, such as database management and life cycle development systems, involving the design and development of applications and the management of information as a resource.

Provides technical advice and guidance to multiple agencies/organizations within the agency on matters relative to area(s) of specialty and on automated data processing technical policies and procedures in general.
