IT Desktop Support
SCOPE OF WORK
The IT Desktop Support role provides help and expertise across software platforms and computing equipment within the Gaylor technology environment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Possesses an outgoing, amiable personality, and desire to help others
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledgeable in the Windows desktop environment
Maintains confidentiality of all Company information
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
Participates in an on-call rotation and responds to critical IT incidents and emergency support requests during non-business hours as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains appropriate records, files, and documentation
Responds to support requests and takes necessary steps to resolve problems
Documents support issues and solutions
Remote problem-solving through use of remote connection tools
Diagnoses Windows and PC hardware and Software issues
Laptop, tablet, cell phone configurations and deployments
Basic troubleshooting of LAN and connectivity issues
Performs data migrations and assists in data restorations on local devices
EDUCATION
CompTIA A+ preferred; may be obtained within first year of employment
EXPERIENCE
Previous desktop support or IT helpdesk experience preferred
