IT Developer
Position Summary
The NetSuite Developer will build and support the ERP capabilities behind a fast-moving, acquisitive business. In this role, you will be responsible for the data, integrations and technical delivery that keep NetSuite accurate and connected to the systems around it, and for standing up newly acquired companies on the platform quickly and without disruption to their operations. This role demands a hands-on developer with strong data discipline, practical integration experience, and the judgment to make design decisions that hold up as the company grows. You will work directly with finance, operations, enterprise architecture and the platform team, translating business requirements into designs, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, control and reporting quality across our Americas operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain custom records, fields and data models that keep master data consistent across entities, subsidiaries and business units
- Build saved searches, SuiteAnalytics datasets and workbooks that Finance and Operations rely on for close, revenue and service reporting
- Develop and run data conversion, cleansing and mass-update routines, including large-volume loads through CSV, SuiteScript and REST-based methods
- Establish data quality controls, reconciliation checks and audit trails so errors are caught before they reach the general ledger or a customer
- Build and support integrations between NetSuite and surrounding systems including CRM, field service, billing, payments, banking, tax and e-commerce platforms
- Develop RESTlets, SuiteTalk services, scheduled and map/reduce scripts, and middleware flows on the enterprise integration platform
- Instrument interfaces with logging, alerting, retry logic and reconciliation reporting so failures are visible and recoverable rather than discovered at month end
- Partner with the platform and enterprise architecture teams to define integration contracts, data ownership and system-of-record boundaries
- Serve as the NetSuite technical lead for acquisition onboarding, from pre-close systems discovery through post-close stabilization
- Map an acquired company's chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items and open transactions to the standard NetSuite model, and execute subsidiary setup, opening balance loads and cutover validation with Finance
- Build repeatable onboarding assets — migration templates, validation scripts and runbooks — so each acquisition takes less effort than the one before it
- Develop customizations in SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder and SuiteAnalytics following coding standards, peer review and source control practices
- Manage release activity, sandbox refreshes, regression testing and readiness for NetSuite's semiannual upgrades
- Provide escalated production support, root cause analysis and permanent fixes for recurring issues
- Ensure segregation of duties, access controls and audit evidence are preserved in everything delivered, including under acquisition deadlines
- Coordinate with Americas IT leadership on global standards, processes and providers
Qualifications
- 4+ years hands-on NetSuite development experience including SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, saved searches and custom record design
- Demonstrated experience building and supporting production integrations using REST and SOAP web services, RESTlets or an enterprise integration platform
- Strong data skills: SQL, data mapping and transformation, high-volume imports, and reconciliation of financial and transactional data
- Working knowledge of core accounting and operational processes in NetSuite, including multi-subsidiary structures, intercompany activity and the period close
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions or carve-outs, including subsidiary setup, opening balances and legacy data conversion (preferred)
- NetSuite certification as a SuiteCloud Developer, Administrator or ERP Consultant (preferred)
- Exposure to CRM, field service, or subscription and rental billing models and the data flows between them and the ERP
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms, business intelligence tools and SOX or equivalent internal control frameworks
- Clear and concise written, presentation, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; comfortable with change and working in a flexible and dynamic environment
- Agile and lean delivery experience; limited domestic travel required for acquisition site visits and cutovers
Target Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
