About the Role

We are looking for a IT Developer/Technical Analyst - Supply Chain to join our Gore Fabrics Digital/IT Supply Chain Team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Gore Fabrics Supply Chain solutions, especially focusing on our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions to optimize manufacturing processes integrated with SAP S/4HANA. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality, and IT departments, to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of Supply Chain systems.

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $95,000 - $150,000 per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the business design, develop, and implement solutions for supply chain (especially MES solutions and integrated with SAP S/4HANA) with leveraging AI Solutions that meet the specific needs of the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure seamless integration of supply chain solutions, focusing on MES with other enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, and SCM.
  • While partnering with Architecture and following our Enterprise Architecture guidelines, you will configure/customize MES software to accommodate unique manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Perform regular technical lifecycle, system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting (review application patch, document test plan, and execute test scripts) to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime, like monthly and quarterly maintenance.
  • Analyze data generated by MES to provide valuable insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Work with business users and support/resolve ongoing technical system issues to ensure availability and performance in the region and in our Fabrics business globally.
  • Follow IT Quality Assurance processes and maintain comprehensive technical documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Ensure that all Supply Chain solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and Manage MES enhancements from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Be flexible, help where we have a need, and focused on continued learning and development. Stay up-to-date with the latest Supply Chain and MES technologies and methodologies to continuously improve system capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in MES development, implementation, and support.
  • Experience with Kanoa MES on the Ignition Platform integrated in an SAP environment.
  • Proficiency in MES software (e.g. Kanoa, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, GE Digital Proficy, Loftware Spectrum), programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, SQL), and database management (e.g. oracle databases) and Code repositories (e.g. GitHub).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment, ability to build strong working relations ships with cross-functional teams and be able to work in a non-directed, self driven and collaborative global team environment.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions, problem solving, and support for manufacturing businesses.
  • Understand and follow relevant processes such as ITIL and SDLC processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MES Certification, SAP Certification) are a plus.
  • Experience with advanced MES functionalities such as real-time data processing, machine learning integration, and IoT connectivity.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO9000, CMMC, etc.

This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3). The term "U.S. persons" includes US citizens, resident aliens ("green-card" holders) as well as certain refugees, asylum-holders and residents qualifying for temporary residence under the terms of 8 USC §1255a.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore’s work arrangement policies.
