Summary

The IT & DevOps Engineer will manage CI/CD infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and maintain Linux-based systems to support software development. The role also involves providing basic internal IT support and ensuring the security and efficiency of the development environment.

This is not a high-volume IT support or 24/7 operations position. Since our daily IT workload is relatively limited and manageable, the successful candidate will spend most of their time working on CI/CD, automation, deployment processes, infrastructure, and continuous improvement of our software development environment.

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate build, test, release, and deployment processes
  • Manage Git-based source code management and branching strategies
  • Manage Docker and container-based application environments
  • Support the setup and management of development, test, and production environments
  • Standardize and automate deployment processes
  • Monitor applications and systems and support basic performance analysis
  • Administer Linux-based servers and environments
  • Work closely with software development teams to resolve deployment and environment-related issues
  • Integrate security and vulnerability checks into CI/CD pipelines
  • Support dependency and software vulnerability management
  • Manage basic internal IT infrastructure and user requirements
  • Provide support for computers, network devices, printers, servers, and other basic IT infrastructure when required
  • Maintain technical documentation for IT and DevOps environments
  • Identify opportunities for automation and infrastructure improvement
  • Research and evaluate new DevOps and infrastructure technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools
  • Strong knowledge of Git
  • Experience with at least one CI/CD platform such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent
  • Experience with SonarQube
  • Good knowledge of Linux system administration
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Bash or other scripting languages
  • Understanding of REST APIs and modern software architectures
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging concepts and tools
  • Good understanding of software development and deployment processes
  • Awareness of software security and vulnerability management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with security tools such as OWASP ZAP, Nuclei, OSV-Scanner, or similar
  • Experience with cloud platforms
  • Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or other relational databases
  • Experience in the defense, aerospace, or other security-critical industries
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 or secure software development practices
