IT DevOps Senior Specialist

About the Job:

The Senior DevOps Specialist has extensive skill and understanding as a DevOps Evangelist. Experienced in using different DevOps tools and can mentor DevOps and Junior DevOps specialists. Works directly with the DevOps Team Lead to help create, design new diagrams and processes for improving deliveries. Can be assigned to specific Scrum team or complex initiatives.

What you will do:

• Works directly with different Scrum Teams to solve complex tasks.
• Coaches DevOps Specialist and Junior DevOps initiatives in performing DevOps tasks.
• Suggests, creates, and designs new process workflows and diagrams for the DevOps team.
• Collaborates closely with the DevOps Team Lead on strategizing the utilization of new DevOps technologies and existing tools.
• Reduces technical risks by addressing Security and Compliance alongside technical DevOps tasks.
• Designs and implements build, deployment, and configuration management for Scrum Teams.
• Creates automation to minimize manual tasks and improve efficiency for the company and Scrum Teams.
• Monitors and creates metrics per project to improve development delivery.
• Monitors, manages, and administers DevOps tools per project for Scrum Teams.
• Creates additional monitoring metrics for Scrum Teams if needed.
• Provides support to Scrum Teams as an expert for assigned projects.

What you need to have:

• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps professional.
• Experience working in a dynamic culture.
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux or Windows fundamentals.
• Expertise in source code management tools like Git.
• Expertise in configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
• Expertise in continuous integration tools like GitLab, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Basic query fundamentals.
• Advanced proficiency in monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, ELK, etc.
• Expertise in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in continuous delivery tools like Maven, Gradle, Ant, JBoss, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud fundamentals such as Azure and AWS.
• Advanced understanding of DevOps key concepts and processes.
