IT Engineer IT 工程师
Summary
On-site IT engineer at a manufacturing plant in Padang Serai, Kedah who maintains factory LAN/WAN networks and low-voltage systems (CCTV, access control, cabling), supports MES/WMS and Windows desktops, and handles IT assets, backups, and security documentation. Requires 3+ years of IT ops experience and fluency in Chinese, English, and Malay.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Low-Voltage Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot factory LAN/WAN networks, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling.
MES/WMS Support: Provide daily maintenance and technical support for MES and WMS; coordinate with headquarters and vendors to resolve issues, optimize functions, and support system upgrades and user training.
Desktop & User Support: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, Windows systems, Microsoft Office, and other business applications.
IT Asset Management: Maintain IT asset records and conduct regular inventory checks.
IT Security & Documentation: Support network security, data backups, security audits, disaster recovery drills, and IT documentation.
Other Duties: Assist with IT policies and procedures and perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Education & Experience
Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant IT operations and maintenance experience; manufacturing IT experience is preferred.
Experience with MES/WMS implementation, maintenance, or support is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and hands-on experience with switches, routers, and firewalls.
Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory.
Basic knowledge of MES/WMS systems and manufacturing IT operations.
Experience with CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and other low-voltage systems.
Basic understanding of IT security and preventive measures.
Language Requirements — Mandatory
Chinese: Fluent; able to communicate and prepare technical documentation in Chinese.
English: Good command of technical documentation and basic written and verbal communication.
Malay: Good command for daily communication and coordination with local suppliers and service providers.
