IT Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a dedicated Information Technology Engineer to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. As an IT Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, providing technical support, managing network security, and overseeing networking tasks to ensure seamless operation of our company's infrastructure. Your role will involve managing servers, systems, and network-related applications to support the IT needs of all employees. You will also play a key role in maintaining the company's technical environment, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and update hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows 7, 10, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
  • Handle case requests including change requests, complaints, and general inquiries.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
  • Manage and support Microsoft products, including Windows Server (up to 2019), Office, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPO), and more.
  • Implement and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware and Azure.
  • Install, configure, and manage Exchange Server (2013, 2016).
  • Perform Windows patch management and application deployment.
  • Maintain antivirus, backup, and storage systems.
  • Manage and troubleshoot network components, including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Support cyber security efforts with relevant tools and practices.
  • Utilize PowerShell and other scripting languages for system automation and optimization.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional IT experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and File Services.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft products (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Office, Exchange, AD).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Azure.
  • Experience with networking, firewalls, routing & switching, and Wireless Access Points.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Strong experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle case requests and support clients effectively.
  • Good understanding of Antivirus, Backup applications, and Storage solutions.
  • Solid communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment.
  • Ability to recommend IT system improvements based on client needs.
  • Current certifications in relevant IT fields (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, CompTIA Network+, etc.).
  • Proven experience in project delivery.
