IT Engineer (MES & SAP)
About the role
We are seeking an IT Engineer (MES & SAP) to join BI Technologies Corporation Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a critical technical position that bridges our manufacturing execution systems and enterprise resource planning infrastructure. You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our MES and SAP systems, supporting our manufacturing and business operations. Key responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platforms and SAP modules to ensure optimal performance and availability
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES and SAP users across the organisation, responding promptly to reported issues and system incidents
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and assist in the design and implementation of system enhancements and customisations
Document system configurations, processes, and user procedures to maintain comprehensive technical knowledge repositories
Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades whilst minimising downtime and business disruption
Participate in system testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements
Liaise with external vendors and support teams to resolve complex technical issues and ensure vendor service level agreements are met
Maintain system security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection and industry standards
What we're looking for
Proven experience working with MES systems and SAP enterprise solutions in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong technical knowledge of system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise software
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and how MES and ERP systems support operational workflows
Experience with system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance tuning
Proficiency in database management and SQL is highly desirable
Knowledge of networking, server infrastructure, and system integration
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Relevant certifications such as SAP certification, CompTIA, or equivalent technical qualifications are advantageous
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within IT teams and cross-functional departments
