IT Engineer / Senior IT Engineer (MSP)

Salary: £28,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• IT Engineer: 2+ years experience in an MSP or multi-client support role, with solid 2nd-line skills.
• Senior IT Engineer: 4+ years experience in an MSP, with 3rd-line capability, project delivery experience, and confidence dealing with clients.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills; Intune and Entra experience is a plus.
• Networking fundamentals, including VLANs, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPNs.
• A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.
• Ability to take part in an out-of-hours support rota as the business grows; standby and call-out are paid.
• Security screening is mandatory and all offers are conditional on passing. Screening includes BPSS checks, a DBS check at the level required for the role and client environments, a financial vulnerability check, and references.
• Nice to have: hands-on experience with NinjaOne, SentinelOne, or Cloudflare.
• Nice to have: Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-102, or AZ-104.
• Nice to have: PowerShell or Bash scripting experience.
• Nice to have: hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve tickets remotely and on-site in line with SLAs.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants, including user lifecycle, security, and compliance.
• Deploy and manage endpoints through NinjaOne and Intune.
• Respond to and remediate SentinelOne alerts.
• Install, configure, and support UniFi and Omada networks.
• Support client AI rollouts, including workspace setup, user onboarding, and access and data controls.
• Install, configure, and support digital signage deployments.
• Onboard new clients and deliver migrations.
• Keep documentation accurate and current.
• At Senior level, own 3rd-line escalations and projects, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical standards and baselines.
• Visit client sites as needed.

This is a full-time role based at Earlsdon One in Coventry, with three days in the office and two days working from home, plus client site visits. Hours are Monday to Friday on a staggered rota covering core support hours. Our technology stack includes NinjaOne, SentinelOne, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Cloudflare, UniFi, Omada, Claude, ChatGPT, and our digital signage platform. Salary is £28,000–£30,000 for an Engineer or £35,000–£45,000 for a Senior IT Engineer, depending on experience.
