About this opportunity:

We are looking to recruit an entry-level Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to support software testing activities across telecom Business Support Systems (BSS). The successful candidate will test Order Care/Order Management, Product Catalogue, and related applications through functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.This role is suitable for a recent graduate with strong analytical and communication skills who is interested in building a career in software quality assurance and telecom BSS.

What you will do:

• Review business and system requirements to understand expected functionality.
• Prepare, document, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execution results.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Test customer and order journeys across BSS platforms, including:
o Customer creation and account management
o Product and service selection
o Product catalogue configuration
o Order capture, validation, submission, and tracking
o Order fulfilment, activation, amendment, and cancellation
o Billing and downstream system integration

• Validate product offerings, pricing, eligibility rules, promotions, and catalogue configurations.
• Identify, document, and track defects using the applicable defect-management tool.
• Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing to confirm system stability.
• Work with developers, business analysts, solution architects, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
• Support User Acceptance Testing, release validation, and production sanity checks.
• Maintain test evidence and provide clear execution and defect-status reports.
• Follow established QA processes, testing standards, and delivery timelines.
• Continuously develop knowledge of telecom processes, BSS architecture, and testing tools.

The skills you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to two years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of software development and software testing life cycles.
• Knowledge of software-testing principles, test-case preparation, and defect management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Willingness to learn telecom BSS business processes and applications.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• Basic understanding of telecom products, customer care, order management, product catalogues, billing, or service fulfilment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, or similar platforms.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with API testing tools, such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Awareness of web and mobile application testing.
• Basic understanding of XML, JSON, REST, or SOAP integrations.
• Exposure to test automation tools is an advantage but not mandatory.
• ISTQB Foundation certification is an advantage.
