Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a collaborative and delivery-focused engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, verification, and ongoing support of software solutions that enable critical business and operational outcomes.

Working with a degree of autonomy and guidance, you will be responsible for delivering quality software components while adhering to established engineering standards, governance processes, and service management practices.

Operating within secure and technically challenging environments, you will apply modern software development principles to create reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications. You will work closely with engineers, technical specialists, and key stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions and ensure successful delivery throughout the software lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and sustain software solutions supporting sensitive national security, defense, and intelligence capabilities.

• Deliver software engineering outcomes within highly secure and classified environments, ensuring compliance with established engineering, quality, security, and governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, systems engineers, architects, and government stakeholders, to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

• Participate in software verification, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities to maintain operational effectiveness and system integrity.

Security Clearance Requirement

This position is aligned to highly classified government programs and requires direct access to sensitive, compartmented information. As such, candidates must hold a current and active Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance at the time of application. Due to operational requirements, sponsorship, upgrades from lower clearances, or the commencement of new clearance processes will not be considered for this opportunity.
