IT Executive (ELV)
Summary
In-house IT role at Spritzer (bottled water company) in Taiping, Perak: supporting users and administering IT infrastructure (Windows/Microsoft servers, firewalls, routers, switches) alongside ELV systems such as CCTV/surveillance, access control, alarms, VoIP, AI/IoT devices, and structured cabling.
Provide timely technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for IT-, network-, and ELV-related issues, including system diagnostics and root cause analysis.
Administer and maintain IT infrastructure, including Microsoft-based servers, workstations, antivirus solutions, firewalls, routers, switches, modems, and data communication equipment.
Manage hardware assets, including tracking, upgrades, maintenance, servicing, and lifecycle management of servers, workstations, and related equipment.
Support users with IT-related issues and provide training on email systems, printers, scanners, and other business applications and devices.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot ELV systems, including CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems, Smart AI/IoT devices, VoIP systems, and structured cabling infrastructure.
Configure, maintain, and support CCTV and surveillance systems, including analogue and IP-based CCTV systems, IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, Video Management Systems (VMS), and remote viewing solutions.
Support network connectivity and integration of ELV and security systems, including WAN/LAN, TCP/IP environments, CCTV systems, and door access systems.
Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, software patches, and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, installations, maintenance activities, support cases, IT procedures, and system layouts; and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals when required.
Investigate user requirements, recommend and implement suitable solutions, manage access rights for ELV systems and devices, and participate in IT and ELV-related projects to support continuous improvement initiatives.
