This is an opportunity to build your IT career in a hands-on support role within a global software company. Based in our Sydney office, you will be closely connected to the business, supporting colleagues with day-to-day technology needs across various areas such as: hardware, software, Microsoft 365, meeting room technology, AV support and general troubleshooting.

You will join Civica’s Enterprise IT team and gain practical exposure to a broad range of support areas, including service desk tickets, onboarding support, device setup, workplace technology and user support. The role provides a solid platform to strengthen your technical knowledge, build confidence and develop your capability in a professional IT environment.

This role is well suited to someone who is proactive, service-focused and keen to keep learning. You will have the opportunity to contribute from day one, work with experienced colleagues and build a strong foundation for your career in IT support.

Requirements

What you will need to be successful in this role

  • Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk or IT Support role.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to support colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience providing face-to-face, phone and remote technical support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of ticket management processes and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ability to troubleshoot end-user hardware, software and workplace technology issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a global support team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice to haves:

  • Exposure to MacOS environments and device support.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and user account administration would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Azure or modern device management tools would be beneficial.
  • ITIL certification, training or practical exposure would be highly regarded.
