Summary

Provides frontline Tier 1/2 IT support at Traeger's Salt Lake City HQ, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for employees. Core work spans Windows/macOS device management with Microsoft Intune and Kandji, Microsoft 365/Entra ID administration, and conference-room A/V support.

Welcome to the Traegerhood:
Our business is BBQ, and business tastes good. Traeger invented the wood pellet grill over 30 years ago, and we're fanatics who are dedicated to bringing people together to create a more flavorful world. From our headquarters in Salt Lake City, we work tirelessly to provide a world-class experience to our customers, retailers, and especially our employees. If you're a team player who's dedicated to delivering top-quality results every day, then we want you to come cook with us.

What You'll Do:

Traeger is looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician to provide frontline technical support across our corporate environment. This role blends traditional desktop/end-user support with hands-on device management (Intune/Kandji-IRU) and audio/visual systems support for conference rooms, event spaces, and office A/V equipment. This person will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues and a key contributor to keeping our device fleet secure, up to date, and running smoothly.

How You'll Help Us Win:

  • Provide Tier 1/2 helpdesk support for hardware, software, and network issues via ticketing system, phone, and in-person
  • Administer and support end-user devices (Windows and macOS) using Microsoft Intune and Kandji (IRU) for enrollment, policy deployment, compliance, and remote management
  • Support Microsoft 365 / Azure AD (Entra ID) administration: user provisioning, licensing, group policy/conditional access basics, password/MFA resets
  • Manage and troubleshoot A/V systems in conference rooms and shared spaces, including:
  • Firmware/software updates for sound systems, video bars, displays, and conferencing hardware (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, Poly/Logitech devices)
  • Setup, testing, and troubleshooting for meetings, town halls, and company events
  • Maintaining an inventory of A/V equipment and coordinating repairs/replacements
  • Image, configure, and deploy new laptops/desktops and manage asset lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding)
  • Document recurring issues, contribute to internal knowledge base articles, and identify opportunities to automate or improve support processes
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3, Networking, or DevOps/Infrastructure teams as needed, with clear documentation
  • Support basic networking troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, conference room connectivity)
  • Assist with physical office IT needs: workstation setup, peripheral troubleshooting, cabling, and equipment moves

What You'll Need To Succeed:

  • 2+ years of hands-on IT helpdesk / desktop support experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, and general Windows/macOS administration
  • Experience with MDM tools, ideally Microsoft Intune and Kandji (IRU), or comparable platforms (Jamf, Workspace ONE)
  • Comfort with A/V equipment: setup, firmware updates, and troubleshooting for conferencing/sound systems
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset — able to diagnose issues methodically and communicate clearly with non-technical users
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi basics)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; patient and personable under pressure
  • Ability to lift/move IT and A/V equipment as needed

Bonus Points if you have this:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (not required — equivalent experience is valued)
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft MD-102, CompTIA A+/Network+, or similar
  • Experience supporting a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing/service management systems
  • Basic scripting/automation experience (PowerShell) for repetitive tasks

Why You Will Love Working Here:

  • Be part of the most disruptive force in outdoor cooking
  • Join a true team working towards a common goal
  • Culture of risk-taking, innovation, & quality
  • So. Much. Food.
  • Have an outdoor lover’s paradise in your backyard
  • Full medical/dental/vision package to fit your needs
  • 401k to help you plan for the future
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Individual professional development programs & initiatives to help you grow professionally
  • Great discounts on all things Traeger
  • Did we mention all the food?
