IT Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for operational support requests via phone and email, providing 24x7 on‑site support on a rotating shift schedule

• Perform routine infrastructure health checks and monitor system availability using observability and performance monitoring tools

• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity incidents to minimize service disruption

• Administer and maintain server environments, virtual platforms, container solutions, and network infrastructure

• Execute backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures to ensure service resilience

• Apply operating system and software updates to maintain security and system stability

• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations and service continuity

• Maintain operational documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Diploma or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

• 1–4 years' experience in system administration or IT operations support

• Good understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure environments

• Hands‑on experience administering Windows and Linux servers

• Knowledge of system configuration, shell scripting, and patch management processes

• Familiarity with Docker, container technologies, or Microsoft Exchange is advantageous

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills

• Effective communication skills in both English and Cantonese

• Ability to work in a shift‑based 24x7 operations environment
