Position Purpose:
The IT Operations Engineer II supports the planning, engineering, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions across multiple departments and locations. Reporting to the Network Systems Manager, this role serves as a key technical resource within IT Operations, contributing to infrastructure projects and ensuring operational excellence across the organization’s technology platforms. This position operates within a hybrid environment and requires strong experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and identity management systems.
Essential Duties:
- Administer and support Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Windows Server.
- Manage hybrid identity environments, including directory synchronization, authentication, and access management.
- Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
- Manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune or equivalent tools.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting and automation to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Integrate Microsoft cloud services with on-premises infrastructure.
- Support identity security best practices, including MFA, conditional access, and privileged access controls.
- Develop and execute technical designs, system specifications, and infrastructure architecture.
- Design scalable and reliable solutions supporting multi-site operations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct system testing, pilot deployments, and technology evaluations.
- Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical standards.
