IT Infrastructure Lead
About the role
Citywide is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead to join our growing technology team in Melbourne. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support critical IT infrastructure initiatives across our organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems, directly supporting the company's operational excellence and business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Technical leadership across hybrid infrastructure, including compute, storage, virtualisation, identity, endpoints, networking, backup and disaster recovery.
Availability, capacity, performance, security, lifecycle and technical debt management for infrastructure services.
Tier 3 escalation and technical leadership during high-impact or complex infrastructure incidents.
Technical delivery of projects, upgrades, migrations and major changes from design through transition to support.
Technical coordination of internal resources, service providers and vendors, supported by accurate standards, diagrams and runbooks.
What we're looking for
3-5 years IT infrastructure experience within a technical role
Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, virtualisation and cloud technologies
Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure planning, design and implementation of large-scale systems
Sound knowledge of IT security principles, data protection and compliance requirements
Proficiency with infrastructure management tools and monitoring platforms
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
