About the role
As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will oversee the reliable operation of Southern Cross Care’s IT infrastructure and lead the ICT team to achieve strategic goals. Reporting to the Group Manager, Business Systems and Technology, you will manage operational support, end-user equipment, network services, and the customer-focused ICT Service Desk to maintain high quality across a large multi-site environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Service Desk & Leadership: Lead and mentor the customer-focused ICT Service Desk team, manage incident procedures, metrics, and team performance, while participating in an on-call rotation.

Operational Support: Oversee Google Cloud (GCP) servers, email/telephony systems, Google Workspace/Identity, assets, licensing, backups, and DR infrastructure to ensure business continuity.

Network & End-User Management: Maintain LAN/WAN networks, manage equipment lifecycles from procurement to decommissioning, oversee patching and security in partnership with the ICT Security Manager, and manage vendor/contractor relationships.

Projects & Innovation: Identify opportunities to improve ICT services, drive technology advancements, and manage the implementation of key IT projects.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification in IT.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency across cloud-based environments (Google Workspace, GCP, Chrome OS desirable), Level 2/3 application and network support, Microsoft Server, Active Directory, VOIP/MDM, VDI (Citrix/VMware), and Cisco/Fortinet devices.

Proven Experience: Demonstrated success managing an ICT team in a customer-focused, multi-site environment, developing Service Desk operations, and managing full hardware/network lifecycles.

Interpersonal & Management Skills: Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage change, remain calm under pressure, and align with our values and "Better for life" culture.
