IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Summary
Oversee IT infrastructure projects, coordinating teams, vendors, and budgets to deploy systems, networks, and cybersecurity solutions on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Apply project management methodologies and processes to support successful project delivery and address project issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, activities, and resource allocations.
- Track project scope, requirements, timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting to support project profitability objectives.
- Coordinate and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution and delivery.
- Manage project requirements, change requests, risks, and dependencies, while supporting the implementation of mitigation plans.
- Provide regular project updates, status reports, and communications to customers, management, and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, risk registers, and progress reports.
- Support project team enablement through knowledge sharing, training coordination, and process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate the deployment of IT infrastructure solutions, including systems, networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Support IT infrastructure and cybersecurity-related upgrades, migrations, system enhancements, and OS hardening activities.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry practices to improve project delivery and operational efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment among project team members.
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Support tender responses, project costing activities, and proposal preparation where required.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of IT Infrastructure Services, Cybersecurity Solutions, Cloud Computing, and Systems Integration projects.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of project management experience, preferably in IT infrastructure, systems integration, cloud, or cybersecurity projects.
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Good understanding of project management principles, systems engineering, and systems integration methodologies.
- Basic to intermediate technical knowledge in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage project schedules, priorities, and deliverables within tight timelines.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent project tracking platforms.
- Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to understand and translate customer requirements into project outcomes.
- Good vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- PMP, CAPM, CITPM, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in IT infrastructure deployment, cloud implementation, cybersecurity projects, or managed services environments is an advantage.
