Job Overview
The IT Infrastructure Manager assumes a strategic and operational leadership role, accountable for the overall performance and stability of the organization's IT infrastructure. Overseeing a dedicated team of IT professionals, this position directs both daily IT operations (BAU) and critical technology projects. The manager is responsible for optimizing resource allocation, managing departmental budgets, and cultivating a proactive, high-performing team culture to ensure the robust delivery of IT services that align with corporate objectives.
Job Scope
- Team Leadership & Administration: Direct and oversee the IT Infrastructure team (encompassing Systems, Cloud, Cyber Security, and System Administration functions). Manage administrative duties including the review and approval of attendance, overtime, and leave requests.
- Resource & Capacity Management: Strategically allocate team resources and manage capacity to effectively balance daily operations (BAU) with ongoing infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal productivity.
- Performance Management: Define clear Roles and Responsibilities alongside Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each team member, ensuring alignment with overarching departmental and corporate goals. Continuously monitor and evaluate individual and team performance.
- Operational Governance: Review, authorize, and oversee operational work orders, service requests, and internal tickets assigned to the infrastructure team.
- Reporting & Communication: Track operational status and project milestones, consolidating data to generate comprehensive progress reports for senior management on a weekly, monthly, or ad-hoc basis.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strict alignment with financial planning.
