IT Infrastructure & Systems Manager (Deputy Manager)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Systems Manager (Deputy Manager) to ensure the stability, security, availability, and lifecycle management of the organisation’s IT infrastructure and systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage, data centre facilities, and related systems across production and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments to ensure operational stability
- Perform routine server room and data centre health checks, coordinating with external vendors to maintain infrastructure availability
- Administer and maintain Linux and Windows servers, storage systems, and associated infrastructure in production and DR environments
- Manage Microsoft Exchange infrastructure to ensure system availability, maintenance, and optimal performance
- Lead incident, problem, and change management processes by resolving major incidents promptly, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
- Establish, maintain, and review IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans, coordinating and conducting DR exercises and testing for critical systems
- Implement infrastructure security measures including vulnerability and patch management, backup operations, and IT compliance in line with Group IT standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor infrastructure capacity and performance; lead capacity planning, technology refresh, and IT infrastructure lifecycle management to support business needs and reduce operational risks
- Manage the annual IT infrastructure budget, overseeing both capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX)
- Provide day-to-day IT infrastructure and systems support to business departments, collaborating with application, security, network, and other technology teams
- Coordinate with Head Office and overseas IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders on infrastructure projects, system maintenance, and technical issues
- Identify and implement improvements to IT infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, automation, and service quality
- Perform other IT infrastructure and systems-related duties and projects as assigned
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in System Administration, IT Infrastructure, Infrastructure Engineering, or Systems Management
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Linux servers
- Proven experience managing Microsoft Exchange administration and maintenance
- Practical knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, backup and restoration, patch management, and infrastructure security
- Strong knowledge of IT incident, problem, and change management processes
- Experience in infrastructure capacity planning, technology refresh, and lifecycle management
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work effectively across business and technology teams
- Self-motivated with a strong learning mindset and ability to independently acquire new technical knowledge
- Strong Chinese language communication skills, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with Head Office colleagues
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Good understanding of database architecture and working experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL)
- Relevant professional certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, MCSE, or equivalent
- Prior experience working in a banking or financial services environment
