Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to join our IT Department in Singapore. This role provides hands-on exposure to corporate IT operations within the financial industry. You will support our IT team in the day-to-day operations, including end-user support, hardware and software setup. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional enterprise IT environment and develop foundational skills fora career in Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on endpoint devices such as PCs, notebooks and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on IT-related facilities, such conferencing and audio-visual systems, etc.
- Provide reasonable technical support on users’ personal devices that are used to access corporate services which includes remote access of office PCs and cloud-based services.
- Setup and configure new corporate PCs and notebooks
- Install authorised software on endpoint devices
- Perform regular IT resource reviews and document accordingly
- Perform user desk relocation involving all IT related equipment
- Promptly report detected faults and updating logs
- Document system checks in accordance to IT processes
- Ensure all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained
- Ensure requests and incidents are promptly attended and accurately recorded on the incident management systems when required
- Perform verification of IT related purchases
- Perform IT on-boarding and off-boarding for new and departing users respectively
Requirements:
- Good supporting knowledge of PC hardware and Microsoft Windows related environments
- Good supporting knowledge of iOS and Android mobile devices.
- Basic LAN, WAN and Wireless networking supporting knowledge
- Comfortable to interact with people in providing customer service-support situation
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to contribute proactively towards prevention of potential issues, and improvements in work processes to achieve better efficiency and productivity
- Decent written and spoken language skills in English
