IT Intern – Systems, Applications & Support
Summary
A full-time IT internship at Pick Network (an IMDA subsidiary) supporting Singapore's nationwide smart parcel locker network. Day to day: documenting business processes, configuring/testing locker systems, handling IT support tickets, maintaining documentation and e-learning content, and assisting with cybersecurity vulnerability tracking.
Salary: $800 – $900 per month
About the role
This internship offers hands-on experience supporting business systems, smart locker operations, IT support, application testing, cybersecurity, and digital learning initiatives. You will support the deployment and operations of Singapore's nationwide parcel locker network, enhancing convenience for consumers and businesses while transforming urban logistics.
Key responsibilities
- Document, review, and analyse existing business processes and internal systems to improve knowledge sharing, operational efficiency, and process effectiveness
- Support the migration and deployment of a nationwide network of more than 1,000 smart locker stations, including system configuration, testing, validation, and implementation activities
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems by investigating reported issues, resolving bugs, and providing timely support through the company's ticketing system
- Participate in application and system testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to ensure solution quality, reliability, and business readiness
- Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation, user guides, standard operating procedures, system records, and reports for various applications and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical support, and identify opportunities for process and system improvements
- Provide end-user IT support for laptops, hardware, software, and office productivity applications, including support for employee onboarding and offboarding activities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of e-learning content and training courses to support regulatory compliance, internal processes, and employee development initiatives
- Support cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability management activities in collaboration with vendors and developers, including coordinating security scans, tracking findings, monitoring remediation progress, and following up on outstanding issues
About you
- Able to commit to a full-time internship for the entire internship period
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of operating systems, computer hardware, networking, and software applications
- Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies, IT support processes, or service desk operations would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users and stakeholders at different levels
- Proactive, eager to learn, and adaptable to a fast-paced working environment
- Good organisational, documentation, and time-management skills
