Bundles Recipes IT Internship Assignment: Control over energy and impact Minimum 20 weeks | Internship allowance: €400-€500 per month Project: Control over energy and impact Smartly manage CO₂ reduction, costs, and future-proof decision-making. Central research question: How can Verstegen automatically access, combine, and analyze data on energy, water, and production from different systems, so that reliable management information is generated for better decision-making regarding CO₂ reduction, costs, capacity, and efficiency? Reason Laws and regulations, including the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), require increasingly better insight into energy use and energy-saving measures. At the same time, Verstegen is working to reduce CO₂ emissions from buildings and production and to minimize energy and water consumption based on the Climate Transition Plan and SBTi targets. A lot of relevant data is available within Verstegen, but this information is scattered across various systems and data sources. The next step is to automatically unlock and consolidate this data and translate it into reliable management information. This will enable a better understanding of where and why consumption occurs. The insights support decisions regarding cost savings, efficiency improvements, CO₂ reduction, investments, and smarter utilization of existing energy capacity. This is particularly relevant in a time of grid congestion and limited grid capacity. The Climate Transition Plan identifies smart meters, an integrated Objective of the internship The objective is to investigate how Verstegen can create a single integrated data and dashboard environment for energy, water, and production. The assignment goes beyond simply building a dashboard: the entire data chain is central, from automatically extracting and storing data to analysis, interpretation, and visualization. To keep the assignment feasible, you will develop a working proto...
