Summary
Hands-on IT Manager in Poplar, East London (hybrid, 3 days WFH) who stabilises daily IT operations, drives process improvement and automation, manages the managed service provider, and supports technology projects as deputy to the Head of Technology. Core skills: IT support, service delivery, project and change management.
Salary: £50,000 - 63,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience providing IT support
- Experience in project management and change management
- A strong track record of process improvement and service optimisation
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and outsourced service providers
- Knowledge of IT service delivery best practices
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach
- Strong organisational and project delivery capabilities
- Identify, review and implement process improvements across our IT estate
- Manage and develop our relationship with the Managed Service Provider, ensuring high levels of service delivery
- Review and enhance our starter, mover and leaver processes
- Improve site visit procedures and on-site support services
- Drive efficiency initiatives and automation opportunities to streamline business processes
- Support the delivery of operational and strategic technology projects
- Act as a trusted deputy to our Head of Technology, helping reduce operational pressure and improve overall service effectiveness

We are seeking an experienced, proactive IT Operations and Technology professional to support and enhance our technology function. Working closely with our Head of Technology, you will help stabilise day-to-day operations, improve processes, manage third-party suppliers and deliver practical technology improvements across our growing organisation. This hands-on, solutions-focused role combines operational support with transformation initiatives. You can work from home three days a week.
