Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of Epicor Kinetic would be advantageous.
  • Project management experience is advantageous, along with cost management.
  • A proven track record of quickly adding value in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technically strong with a commercial mindset.
  • An investigative mind, both on tasks at hand and in questioning whether there is a better way.
  • Ability to progress many activities concurrently.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience of developing processes and procedures.
  • Flexible approach to work, as additional hours may be required.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead all IT and communications for the company, ensuring all on-site and remote systems are maintained and appropriate security measures are in place.
  • Manage relationships with external IT service providers for email, network, backups, and printers.
  • Manage relationships with the ERP supplier and other external IT suppliers.
  • Gain compliance for Cyber Essentials.
  • Manage and create cost-efficient contracts for IT companies and telephony.
  • Advise on IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain, implement, and improve business automations.
  • Manage the day-to-day ERP solution, currently Glovia and moving to Epicor.
  • Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner.
  • Preserve assets, information security, and control structure.
  • Handle the annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Mentor and guide the IT Apprentice.
