IT Manager (Factory Operations & Infrastructure)
Summary
Overseenetwork infrastructure leadership , manage Manufacturing Execution Systems(MES) for factory shopfloor operations, and lead MIS administration—ensuringreliability, security, and alignment with business and production goals.
KeyResponsibilities
1. Team& Network Infrastructure Management
- Supervise, guide, and review work of the Network Engineer; set priorities, KPIs, and project timelines for network design, deployment, and maintenance
- Own end-to-end network infrastructure: LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, VPN, and network security
- Ensure 99.9%+ network uptime for office and factory environments, lead troubleshooting of critical outages
- Plan network capacity upgrades, budget for network assets, and enforce cybersecurity/access standards
2.Shopfloor IT & MES Management
- Full ownership of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) deployment, integration, maintenance, and optimization
- Bridge IT and production teams: translate manufacturing requirements into MES configurations, workflows, and reports
- Manage shopfloor hardware/software: terminals, PLC/SCADA interfaces, data collection, MES patches, upgrades, and user training
- Ensure MES data integrity, real-time production visibility, and compliance with manufacturing quality/traceability requirements
- Coordinate MES with ERP, inventory, and shopfloor automation systems
3. MISAdministration & Governance
- Serve as lead MIS Administrator: manage user accounts, access rights, security policies, backups, and system recovery
- Maintain MIS platform(s), perform system updates, monitor performance, and resolve MIS-related incidents
- Generate and publish operational/management reports; build dashboards for leadership using MES/MIS data
- Manage MIS documentation, licenses, vendor contracts, and compliance audits
- Administer related core systems: servers, storage, databases, email, productivity tools, and business applications
4.Strategy, Projects & Compliance
- Develop IT roadmaps covering network, shopfloor IT, and MIS; align with factory expansion and digitalization plans
- Lead IT projects: MES enhancements, network upgrades, MIS migrations, and system integrations
- Manage IT budget, vendor relationships, and procurement
- Enforce IT security policies, data backup/disaster recovery plans, and regulatory compliance
