IT Manager (International School)

Salary: $5,000 – $7,000 per month

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the school’s ICT infrastructure, digital platforms and information systems to ensure reliable and effective day-to-day operations.

  • Support the development of the school’s technology roadmap and recommend improvements, upgrades or replacement of existing systems.

  • Manage the school network, servers, hardware, software and related IT infrastructure, including monitoring, maintenance and backup processes.

  • Lead and guide the IT support team, ensuring technical issues are resolved efficiently and systems remain properly maintained.

  • Provide technical and application support across the school and act as the escalation point for more complex or organisation-wide IT issues.

  • Work closely with academic and operational teams to ensure technology effectively supports teaching, learning, assessment and administrative needs.

  • Manage technology projects including new system implementations, upgrades and platform migrations, coordinating timelines, users and external vendors.

  • Maintain appropriate IT governance, system access, data integrity, security and information-management practices.

  • Support compliance with data protection, safeguarding and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Develop user training and guidance to encourage effective and responsible use of the school’s technology platforms.

  • Review existing systems and workflows regularly, identifying opportunities for automation, better integration and process improvement.


Job Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.

  • Strong experience managing ICT systems, networks, servers, hardware and software within an organisation.

  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, system administration, network monitoring, backups, security and access controls.

  • Experience leading or supervising an IT support function and managing technical escalations.

  • Proven experience implementing or upgrading IT systems and managing technology-related projects.

  • Able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, educators, users and external vendors.

  • Good understanding of data protection, information security and IT governance practices.

  • Strong problem-solving, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide user guidance and training.

  • Experience within a school, education or similarly complex user environment would be advantageous.
