IT Manager (Part-time) | Springbrook Foods | Blenheim | 20 hours per week, Permanent

A HANDS-ON IT ROLE AT A GROWING NZ FOOD MANUFACTURER

Springbrook Foods is looking for a practical, self-sufficient IT professional to be our sole in-house IT resource, based on-site in Blenheim at 20 hours per week.

You'll keep our office and production floor technology running reliably, support our team day-to-day, and coordinate with our external partners covering Microsoft 365, ERP and network infrastructure.

This is not a big-team corporate IT role. It's a hands-on, get-it-done position where you'll have real ownership of the technology experience for everyone at Springbrook.

ABOUT SPRINGBROOK

We're trusted taste makers — a NZ food manufacturer creating unique flavours and food solutions that bring something new and delicious to the table. We live by three values: Humble, Hungry and Honest.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• First-point-of-contact IT support for the office and production floor

• Day-to-day Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)

• Setting up and maintaining laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and handheld scanners

• Supporting production floor technology including scales, labelling and traceability systems

• Coordinating ERP issues with our external implementation partner

• Managing relationships with our M365 partner (Brightly), network provider and other IT vendors

• Maintaining the IT asset register, software licences and documentation

• Keeping backups, endpoint security and device patching current across the fleet

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 4 to 6 years IT support or administration experience, including time in a sole-charge or in-house IT position

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows device environments

• Comfortable working independently on-site as the only in-house IT resource, managing priorities effectively across a part-time schedule

• Strong communication skills — patient and clear with non-technical users at all levels

• Good documentation habits — keeps asset registers and support records current without being reminded

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand

DESIRABLE

• Experience in a food, beverage or manufacturing environment

• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VLANs)

• Exposure to production floor systems such as scanning and labelling equipment

• Relevant IT certification (e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified, CompTIA Network+)

• Experience managing external IT vendors or service partners

THE SPRINGBROOK WAY

Humble: Know what you know and what you don't. Work well with our external partners rather than trying to solve everything alone. Be approachable and patient with every user — the best IT people make everyone feel capable, not inadequate.

Hungry: Never accept a workaround as a permanent fix. Be curious about how technology can help the business run better and bring ideas, not just problem reports, to the table.

Honest: Tell people what's actually happening with their systems — including when you don't know the answer yet. Say what you'll do and do it.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional who wants a varied, hands-on role with real ownership and a flexible part-time schedule. Based in Blenheim, on-site at Springbrook Foods.
