TASKS AWAITING YOU:

• Administration and optimization of the entire network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, routing, switching)
• Maintenance and further development of our firewalls and security solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN, web filter, MFA)
• Monitoring and analysis of the network infrastructure using Checkmk
• Network monitoring and troubleshooting, including protocol analysis (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark)
• Documentation and management of IT assets using Snipe-IT
• Setup and maintenance of logical network segments, including security zones and VLAN structures
• Collaboration on network projects (e.g., site interconnections, infrastructure upgrades, new network concepts)
• Implementation of measures as part of the IT security strategy (e.g., ISO 27001)
• Automation of recurring tasks and documentation of network configurations
• Support for incident, problem, and change management in accordance with ITIL

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) or comparable qualification in the field of networking
• Professional experience in managing complex network infrastructures
• Very good knowledge of switching, routing, VLANs, and network security
• Experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, NTP, RADIUS)
• Practical experience with tools such as Checkmk, Wireshark, PRTG, or similar
• Experience working with Snipe-IT or comparable ITAM solutions
• Certifications such as Fortinet NSE (3–5), CompTIA Network+, and Cisco CCNA are a plus
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in German and English
