Role

In line with AltaOne's mission, vision, and values, the IT Network Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, administration, security, and reliability of the credit union's technology infrastructure. This position manages the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams while overseeing network operations, systems administration, cybersecurity controls, telecommunications, and end-user technology services.

The IT Network Infrastructure Manager serves as a technical leader and people manager, ensuring the availability, performance, security, and supportability of enterprise technology platforms. The position works closely with the VP of Information Technology to implement strategic initiatives, maintain regulatory compliance, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and deliver exceptional technology services to internal and external stakeholders.

This role is responsible for operational execution, staff development, infrastructure planning, vendor management, and continuous improvement of IT services and security practices.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Provides leadership and oversight for the daily operation of the credit union's network infrastructure, server environment, telecommunications systems, cybersecurity controls, cloud services, and end-user computing platforms.

Manages and develops Infrastructure Engineers, Systems Administrators, Network Administrators, Service Desk Leads, and IT Support personnel through coaching, mentoring, workload management, goal setting, and performance evaluations.

Ensures the availability, reliability, security, and performance of enterprise systems, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, networking equipment, wireless infrastructure, cloud services, and endpoint management solutions.

Oversees network operations including LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, internet connectivity, routing, switching, and telecommunications services.

Leads infrastructure lifecycle management activities, including hardware refreshes, operating system upgrades, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and technology modernization efforts.

Partners with Information Security personnel and organizational leadership to implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, security monitoring, vulnerability management, access management, and incident response procedures.

Serves as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure, network, security, and service delivery issues impacting business operations.

Oversees Service Desk operations to ensure service levels, response times, incident resolution targets, and customer satisfaction goals are consistently achieved.

Coordinates disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and recovery activities to support organizational resilience and regulatory requirements.

Manages infrastructure projects, technology deployments, and operational improvement initiatives to ensure successful implementation within scope, budget, and timeline expectations.

Collaborates with the VP of Information Technology on technology planning, operational priorities, risk management activities, and resource allocation.

Develops, maintains, and enforces IT operational standards, procedures, system documentation, and security practices.

Monitors system availability, infrastructure performance, security events, vulnerability reports, and operational metrics; recommends corrective actions and process improvements as necessary.

Manages vendor relationships and service providers supporting networking, infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms.

Assists with regulatory examinations, audits, cybersecurity assessments, and compliance activities by providing documentation, evidence, and remediation support.

Participates in budget planning, technology evaluations, product selections, and operational forecasting for infrastructure and support services.

Coordinates on-call support, incident management, and emergency response activities for critical technology services.

Performs other duties as assigned.
