IT Network Specialist

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware and solutions (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution of network-related issues.
• Monitor, optimise, and secure network performance and connectivity.
• Assist in network design, deployment, and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to deliver solutions.
• Conduct regular updates, patches, and system backups for continuity and security.

Requirements

• Diploma/Nitec/Higher Nitec in IT, Networking, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in networking and firewall support/deployment.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g. Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco) and wireless solutions.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Aruba ACMA/ACMP) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Flexible to support after-hours and willing to travel to client sites when required.
