Reporting to the General Manager, with functional reporting to the Cluster IT Manager, you will play an important role in preparing the hotel's technology systems for opening and providing ongoing technical support to our employees and guests.
While the role will initially focus on Dorsett Perth, responsibilities are expected to expand to provide IT support across other Dorsett properties in Australia as operational requirements evolve.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Assist with the implementation and ongoing support of hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems and other operational applications.

Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, Wi-Fi, telecommunications and network equipment.
Administer user accounts, Microsoft 365, access permissions and other communication tools.
Support cybersecurity, data protection, system backups and IT security procedures.
Maintain accurate IT asset registers, equipment inventories, system documentation and support records.
Coordinate with Regional IT, external vendors and service providers for installations, maintenance and technical support.
Provide technical assistance for meetings, events and audiovisual equipment.
As our hotels operate 24/7, this role requires flexibility to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support for critical IT incidents and planned maintenance.
About YOU
We are looking for a resourceful, service-focused IT professional with strong technical knowledge and a practical approach to problem-solving.
Ideally, you will have:
At least 2 years' experience in IT support, systems administration or a similar technical role, preferably within hospitality.
A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, hardware, software and network connectivity.
Good understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and basic network administration.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, access controls and backup procedures.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide friendly, patient technical support to employees and guests.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
A proactive attitude and willingness to assist across different hotel departments.
Experience with hotel PMS, POS systems, multi-property IT support or hotel pre-opening IT implementation will be highly regarded.
If you are passionate about technology, enjoy solving problems and want to be part of bringing a brand-new hotel to life, we would love to hear from you!
