- Onsite POS System Engineer
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair POS systems, including touchscreen registers, self-service kiosks, and card payment terminals.
- Support and maintain POS peripherals such as barcode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, and customer displays.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize system downtime.
- Install, terminate, and maintain network cabling for store infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot wired and Wi-Fi connectivity issues affecting store operations.
- Maintain and support back-office computers, inventory management systems, and pricing databases.
- Perform software installations, system updates, configuration, and preventive maintenance.
- Provide rapid on-site technical support during peak business hours to ensure uninterrupted retail operations.
- Train cashiers and store staff to resolve common POS and system-related issues.
- Coordinate with banking/payment service providers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to resolve payment and network connectivity issues.
- Escalate complex technical issues to vendors or higher-level support when required.
- Maintain service records and ensure compliance with company IT standards and security policies.
- Work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to provide continuous technical support and ensure business continuity.
