IT Operations Engineer (Mid-Senior)
Summary
On-site IT Operations Engineer owning day-to-day IT for Finera's Limassol office: resolving tickets in Jira Service Management, running onboarding/offboarding, managing macOS endpoints via Kandji MDM, Google Workspace administration, and identity lifecycle (SSO/SAML, SCIM), plus office infrastructure support and scripting/automation in Bash or Python.
This is a hands-on role for someone with 3 to 7 years of real-world IT operations exposure who is comfortable owning recurring operational workflows independently, takes full ownership of the local office IT environment, and is ready to take on broader responsibility as the team scales.
Responsibilities
- Own and resolve IT support tickets in Jira Service Management (JSM), including Tier 2 escalations, for Cyprus-based staff and remote colleagues
- Own IT for the Limassol office end to end: on-site presence, office infrastructure, local vendors and the day-to-day IT needs of Cyprus-based staff
- Execute end-to-end onboarding and offboarding: account provisioning, MDM enrolment, access management, and asset assignment and recovery
- Configure, deploy and maintain macOS endpoints via Kandji MDM, including profile assignment, software deployment and compliance enforcement
- Administer Google Workspace at admin level: users, groups, OUs, shared drives, calendar resources and basic security settings
- Support identity lifecycle workflows: SSO/SAML configurations, SCIM provisioning, group-based access and joiner-mover-leaver processes
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory across all sites, including procurement coordination, hardware refresh cycles and decommissioning
- Build and maintain operational documentation, SOPs and runbooks in Confluence and Google Drive
- Contribute to scripting and automation (Bash, Python or similar) to reduce manual operational work
- Support office infrastructure: meeting room AV, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, printers, peripherals, access control and cable management
- Take part in planned IT exercises or maintenance at weekends or outside business hours (for example office moves, migrations, DR tests), exceptionally and not on a recurring schedule
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware, software and support escalations
Requirements
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on, real-world experience in IT operations, IT support or systems administration
- Proven ability to take ownership of a local office IT environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrable experience administering macOS endpoints in a corporate environment
- Currently based in Limassol, Cyprus (no relocation offered)
- Availability for occasional, pre-planned work outside business hours or at weekends, exceptional and not periodic
- Fluent English, written and verbal

- Experience with a ticketing system at scale (Jira Service Management, Freshservice, Zendesk or equivalent)
- Basic scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python or PowerShell)
- Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Documentation discipline and a process-driven mindset
