IT Operations Manager
A day in the life
Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
Developing and executing disaster recovery plan and maintaining data backups
Managing and reporting on allocation of the IT budget
Conducting regular assessments of network and data security
Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
Managing and developing troubleshooting strategies to minimise downtime
Developing and implementing local IT policies and best practice guides in alignment with
Global policies and standards for the organisation
Conducting regular system audits
Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
Managing suppliers, service providers, contractors and consultants to ensure best outcomes for the business
Providing solutions to optimise the IT budget and manage maintenance costs effectively
Required IT skills:
Azure/Office 365 management
Virtual Compute Environment (preferred Azure experience)
Windows Server Management (Upgrades/Install/Configuration)
Unified Communications System Experience (Cisco CUCM required)
Automation/Scripting language knowledge (preferred PowerShell experience)
Backup solutions (Veeam experience)
Router/Switch/VPN Maintenance & Configuration (preferred Ubiquiti experience)
Remote Desktop / RemoteApp Cluster Experience
Server management / comms room / rack management / UPS / KVM
Endpoint troubleshooting hardware & software
Physical network troubleshooting
IPTV/IP CCTV management experience
Thin Client management (Dell WYSE experience)

You have 5+ years of relevant IT experience, a neat-freak reputation, flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule and a proven track record of turning disgruntled members into our raving fans.
Ideally you are degree qualified, but its not a deal breaker if you aren’t.

You know what it’s like to work with a high profile consumer brand and the value of a well-oiled machine. You may also have some retail or hospitality sector experience. A+ for you.
