IT Operations Specialist

Information about the project:

  • Industry: banking

  • Rate: up to 130 pln/h net + VAT, B2B

  • Location: Gdańsk/Gdynia/Łódź/Warsaw - hybrid

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for mainframe environments

  • Handle incidents and manage problem resolution

  • Conduct thorough analysis of incidents to identify root causes

  • Adapt and learn new technologies and tools as required

  • Monitor system outputs and datasets using TSO/ISPF and SDSF

Key Requirements

  • Deep understanding of mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and IMS

  • Experience with Base SAS

  • Proficiency in TSO/ISPF and SDSF tools

  • Experience with OPC/TWS and related defect-fixing tools such as Abend Aid and File Aid

  • Proven incident handling and problem management experience

  • Strong analytical skills for incident analysis

  • Eagerness to learn new tools and adapt to evolving technologies

Nice to Have

  • Scripting skills in REXX, Python, or Shell

  • Knowledge of distributed systems in hybrid environments

  • Exposure to DevOps/Agile methodologies

  • Experience with cloud integration and mainframe modernization initiatives
