BAU infrastructure and systems administration role at a member-owned private health fund in Sydney: owns day-to-day performance, security and hygiene of servers, cloud services and business platforms, provides L2 escalation for the Service Desk, and supports an in-house customer platform. The Role
BAU-focused operations role owning day-to-day performance, security and hygiene of infrastructure, cloud services and business platforms. Provides Level 2 escalation for the Service Desk and supports Level 3 engineers on complex server, network, cloud and database issues. Also supports an in-house customer platform (batch jobs, data integrity, backups, database performance).
Must-Haves
MCSA/MCSE or cloud certification (Azure Administrator/AWS SysOps), ITIL, FortiGate/network security experience, Commvault or similar backup/DR tooling, health insurance or membership-organisation background.

- Hands-on Windows Server and/or Linux administration
- Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID) and operational security fundamentals
- Cloud infrastructure admin (Azure and/or AWS/GCP): identity, compute, storage, networking
- SQL Server administration: backups/restores, performance tuning, job monitoring
- Hyper-V/virtualisation, Microsoft 365, monitoring and incident response, DR/backup testing
- Scripting/automation (PowerShell/Bash; Python a plus)
