What is the role responsible for?
Based at our warehouse in north east Manchester the IT Operations & Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting both the technical configuration of IT equipment and the day-to-day operation of the warehouse.
The role combines hands-on IT configuration and provisioning with goods-in, picking, packing, order preparation and dispatch.
The successful candidate will help ensure that customer orders are received, configured, tested, recorded and dispatched accurately and on time.

What will you be doing day-to-day?
Here are a few examples of what you could be involved with:
IT Configuration & Provisioning

Configure and prepare equipment to customer specifications. This includes IT hardware, routers, switches, wireless access points and other network devices.
Provision Cisco, Cisco Meraki and other manufacturer equipment.
Perform firmware and software updates and test equipment prior to customer deployment, troubleshooting hardware and basic networking issues.

Warehouse Operations

Receive incoming deliveries and check goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation. Unload, inspect and correctly locate incoming goods
Accurately pick and pack customer orders, preparing equipment for courier collection and dispatch.
Liaise with couriers and logistics providers where required, ensure orders meet daily collection and delivery deadlines and work closely with Sales, Procurement and Technical teams, prioritising customer orders according to delivery requirements.

What you’ll bring
You don’t need experience in everything listed—but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:

Previous warehouse, IT, configuration or technical experience desirable.
Good understanding of IT hardware and a basic networking knowledge.
Familiarity with routers, switches and wireless equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to accurately handle serialised equipment.
Good troubleshooting and problem solving.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
