IT Platform Engineer – Enterprise Data Lake
Summary
Build and maintain a secure, scalable Azure-based data lake platform using Python, Terraform, and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust, secure, and high-quality solutions for the Enterprise Data Lake platform.
- Build and maintain scalable cloud-native data platform capabilities using Microsoft Azure.
- Apply software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and domain-driven design (DDD).
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and IT stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and fault tolerance.
- Contribute to automated testing strategies using frameworks such as pytest and mocking.
- Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with Python and object‑oriented programming.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience with Azure Databricks and enterprise data platforms.
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and software delivery practices.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (pytest preferred).
- Experience working with cloud SDKs and platform automation.
