IT Procurement Assistant

We are looking for an organised and motivated IT Procurement Assistant to support IT purchasing activities across hardware, software, services, and consumables. You will work with suppliers, Finance, and IT teams to ensure orders are managed efficiently, records are accurate, and processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support reporting, audits, and governance requirements
  • Raise and manage IT purchase orders from request through to delivery and invoice reconciliation
  • Obtain supplier quotes and ensure best value purchasing
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers on pricing, availability, lead times, and queries
  • Support supplier management and performance monitoring
  • Manage procurement requests through IT systems and track order progress
  • Keep stakeholders updated on delivery timescales
  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes, policies, and financial controls
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider IT team, including hardware, software and licensing activities.

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong organisation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and multiple tasks
  • Good communication skills with suppliers and internal teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems
  • Experience with procurement, purchasing, administration, or IT support desirable
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, supplier management, or ITSM platforms beneficial
  • Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
  • Understanding of IT hardware, software, and procurement processes advantageous
