About the role

Oohray Group Pte Ltd is seeking a Junior IT Programmer to join our dynamic development team on a full-time basis. This role is based in the Kaki Bukit East Region and offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career programmer to develop technical expertise whilst contributing to meaningful software development projects. As a Junior IT Programmer, you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company's computing needs. The successful candidate will have improved skills, proven professional experience, and detailed knowledge of the industry's best practice processes.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage information technology and computer systems

  • Manage IT staff by training, and coaching employees, and communicating job expectations

  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures

  • Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems

  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy

  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time

  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes

  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures

  • Manage, update, and maintain data on website(s)

  • Web service management including start-up and shutdown


About you

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject

  • Requires knowledge of computer language: NEXTJS and LARAVEL/PHP

  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network, and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems

  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, network installation, and program installation

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

  • Excellent project management skills and a strong ability to prioritize

  • A firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices

  • Ability to manage personnel

  • Creative and positive work attitude to produce quality work under minimal supervision
