IT Project Engineer
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year
Requirements:- 5+ years of experience in an IT project or solutions role
- Hands-on experience with hardware, software, systems, networks, Wi-Fi, and servers
- Experience monitoring and maintaining servers and networks
- Proven advanced technical support experience with client stakeholders, such as IT Managers
- Project management experience
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and attend to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware, Fortinet, firewalls, networking, Veeam, Datto, automation tools, and IT hardware
- Must live in or near Swansea, UK; able to reliably commute to Swansea SA1 1NW or plan to relocate before starting
- Serve as a senior escalation point for customers and teammates
- Design and deliver solutions, focusing on project work rather than business-as-usual tickets
- Manage multiple projects across a range of technologies
- Explore emerging technology to help us stay ahead
- Maintain technical skills through ongoing certifications and training
- Communicate with customers in person and by phone, helping them feel confident throughout the process
- Build customer confidence through clear, approachable conversations, including face-to-face support when needed
- Translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences
- Collaborate across teams, respond promptly, and solve problems proactively with care and attention to detail
